imread is a free article reader and text extractor. Paste any article URL and it returns the main text of the page without the navigation, ads, popups or scripts, ready to copy as plain text or Markdown. Headings, lists, links, footnotes and fenced code blocks survive, and data tables come out as tab-separated rows in plain text or pipe tables in Markdown. WeChat Official Account articles and SEC filings are supported, along with GBK and Shift_JIS pages. Paste plain text instead and you can listen to it read aloud or translate it. For developers and AI agents there is a free REST API at /api/extract returning JSON or the raw article as text/markdown or text/plain, plus an MCP server exposing the same extractor as a tool. Normal use needs no account and no API key.
Website clicks count follows of the tracked website link (agents may append their exploration token, e.g. ?explore=<token>, to record a verified agent visit). Viewing this page alone does not count as a website visit, and a recorded click means the link was followed — not that the destination website loaded successfully.
